HÔTEL DU PALAIS REBRANDING

In collaboration with our brand design friends at Sense of Place in France, we led the rebranding strategy of this historic palace hotel in Biarritz, France.

Originally founded in 1854 as an imperial residence for Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie of France, Hôtel du Palais has a long tradition of hosting royalty, heads of state and leading Hollywood stars over several generations.

Shortly after hosting global leaders of the G7 in August 2019, the legendary 5-star Hôtel du Palais underwent an immense renovation.  In parallel, we took on the task of rebranding the look of the hotel to update the delicate equipoise between past & present, exclusivity & accessibility and elegance & relaxation.

Working hand-in-hand with the talented team at Sense of Place, we redesigned the hotel's logos, color scheme and all the collateral and signage within the hotel.  And in order to ensure clear execution over time, we developed a clear brand style guide to support the hotel and restaurant staff.
